Salt Rock at a glance

The small town of Salt Rock is situated north of Ballito and Shaka's Rock on the KwaZulu Natal north coast and is a very popular seaside holiday destination. There are some fishing spots along the coast stretching up to Sheffield as well as beautiful reefs offshore. Salt Rock main beach has lifeguards, is shark protected and offers excellent surfing. There is also a caravan park with beautiful shaded sites which is a stone's throw from the beach, and the Salt Rock Country Club which caters for the visitors' basic sporting needs including tennis, bowls, squash and swimming.

Nestled along the Dolphin Coast of KwaZulu-Natal, Salt Rock used to be a popular destination for holidaymakers, but it has increasingly become one of the many areas attracting new residents, especially families.
